Grounds Crew
Duties and Responsibilities Summary:
Responsible for the upkeep/maintenance of the playing field and surrounding grounds areas of Orchard Park Little League with supervision from head and assistant head groundskeeper.
Primary Responsibilities:
● Responsible for all field prep including, but not limited to, lining, mowing, watering, seeding and field repair.
● Assist in keeping inventory of all grounds equipment and material needed for field upkeep
● Responsible for all infield skin/dirt maintenance including edging, mound and plate prep, warning track maintenance, and infield leveling procedures.
● Assist with preparing the field and bullpens for OPLL games and practices.
● Assist with preparing the field and bullpens for non-OPLL games (town permits, high school, youth, charity games, etc.).
● Regularly weed all areas of the field and surrounding areas of the ballpark
● Facilitate the infield tarp while monitoring weather conditions to ensure playability and player safety.
● Maintain field during games through in-game drags and mound maintenance if needed.
● Perform pre-game and post-game field/grass maintenance as necessary.
● Operate and maintain all equipment in a safe manner and keep in excellent working condition.
● Assist with facility operation tasks that relate to the general upkeep and cleanliness of the ballpark.
● Your supervisor may assign other duties at any time.
Concessions Staff
Duties and Responsibilities Summary:
● Greet and guests when approaching stand and thank them for their support
● Provide good guest service by being friendly, listening to guests, answering any questions to the best of your ability, and maintaining professionalism at all times. Support your co-workers.
● Setup assigned stand according to guidelines given.
● Manage the cash register, accurately collecting and depositing money and exchanging with guests.
● Cook and prepare food items for guests promptly.
● Work with other staff members to maintain and restock inventory as needed.
● Manage cleanliness of stand by wiping glass and counters, sweeping, and taking out trash. Attend to restrooms regularly.
● Close down and confer with supervisor at the end of each day.
All Staff:
● Pay rate will be commensurate with experience (range $15-20 per hour).
●All staff wis encourage to become AED/CPR certified and the league covers the cost of a training session.
