Let's Play Ball!

UpdatedFriday June 12, 2020 byRick Licursi.

Hello OPLL Families,

We are happy to announce that the Board has elected to move forward with the 2020 OPLL season in a modified fashion.  Attached you will find our initial return to play plan that we will be implementing.  Please understand these modifications are a part of Little League Return to Play Best practices and also include heavy input from resources with state and county health agencies and the CDC.  These modifications may very well be adjusted further as we move into the start of the season as more information is made available to us.  While it's definitely possible we could see restrictions relaxed further as we move closer to the summer and games, there is no guarantee.

We are extending registration through Sunday June 14th.  If you have not yet registered but still want to participate please do so before Sunday.

If you have decided you no longer want to participate for any reason please reply to this email with your OPLL SI Account number and the names of players you want to remove.

If you have already sent an email request for cancellation then it is currently being processed.

All refunds will be sent by check to the mailing address in your SI account, and will be processed in 3 to 4 week.

While this is an extremely unique situation that will certainly change over time, we will need everyone's cooperation in order to have a successful season and let our kids have a summer on the diamonds.

Revised season Timeline – The board recognizes this is a change and understands if there is to be missed time from previous/conflicting family obligations.

  1. June 14, 2020 – Finalize registration
  2. June 16-22, 2020 – Teams finalized
  3. June 23-30, 2020 – Schedule finalized
  4. July 1, 2020 – League-recognized practices start
  5. July 14-Sept 5, 2020 – House baseball/softball seasons
  6. Sept 6, 2020 – House baseball/softball championship games  (all games concluded by this date)

Thank you for your patience as we work through this process.

Best wishes,

OPLL Board of Directors
